Plastic variable area flow meters up to 16 bar
Plastic variable area flow meters up to 16 bar show the flow of water or oil on a scale, without power supply or wiring. The spring-loaded float moves inside a transparent body, so its position is visible at a glance. Each model has a scale for one medium: water, or oil with a viscosity of 100 cSt (centistokes). Choose the model by medium and flow range. An oil that is thicker than the scale medium gives a large reading error. If the oil viscosity varies or is not known, choose a metal variable area flow meter up to 300 bar: one scale covers a wide viscosity range.
The meters have a G 1" male thread and are rated up to 16 bar (≈230 psi) and +120 °C (≈248 °F). They can be mounted in any position. They suit only lightly contaminated liquids, because larger particles can block the float. For an electrical signal at a set flow of water or oil, choose a metal variable area flow switch.
